Warning Date: 2:21 PM EDT on September 3, 2010
WarningSum:...Increased Fire Danger Today And Saturday Across Central North
Carolina...
Warning Message:The combination of hot temperatures...breezy westerly winds...and
minimum humidity values between 20 and 30 percent will increase
the threat for rapid or erratic fire growth across central North
Carolina this afternoon into early evening. While high
temperatures will not be as warm Saturday...dry conditions and
breezy west and northwest winds will occur once again. As a
result...there will be increased fire danger across central North
Carolina on Saturday as well.
Outdoor burning is discouraged and any burning that must take
place should be conducted with extreme caution. Take steps to
prevent unintended or uncontrolled fires. Be sure to properly
extinguishing smoking materials.
